The dogs of this breed make good watchdogs. They excel in a number of canine sports. They are keen on playing ball or Frisbee. The dogs of this breed can learn more tricks than the average dog. Remember that Borders should always be supervised in order not to get into trouble.

Naturally looking, these dogs are judged by their performance and not by their standard appearance.
